9 Ailments that can be treated with CBD oil

Benefit # 1: Treating Epilepsy

In 2013, CNN broadcast a documentary about a young American with severe epilepsy. His parents used CBD oil to combat his violent attacks.

This documentary, which has attracted the world’s media attention, put CBD oil in the spotlight as a viable natural treatment for seizers.

When you browse the Internet, you will see many other videos of epilepsy cases that have been successfully treated with CBD oil.

Scientists are currently studying how CBD oil reduces the number of epileptic seizures in people with epilepsy and whether their use is safe.

The American Epilepsy Society is optimistic about the value of CBD oil for the treatment of epilepsy and is currently investigating whether its use is safe.

In 2016, a study was conducted on 214 people with epilepsy. They received CBD oil in addition to their medication. Participants were observed for 12 weeks; epileptic seizures were found to decrease by 36.5% per month due to CBD oil.

Unfortunately, the oil did not have the same effectiveness for all participants. Some participants in the study had side effects. For some, they were so annoying that they were forced to stop CBD oil. Some participants reported the following side effects:

Loss of appetite

Diarrhea

Sleepiness

Tired

Convulsions

The effectiveness of CBD oil in the treatment of epilepsy varies from person to person. The same applies to side effects: some will experience, others will not.

It is therefore a matter of trying CBD oil yourself. To make an objective assessment, the number and duration of symptoms before and after oil consumption must be compared.

You must also watch for side effects. Moreover, there is no mention that the use of CBD oil is dangerous for people with epilepsy.

Benefit # 2: Treatment of anxiety disorders

The researchers suggest that CBD influences the response of brain receptors to serotonin.

Serotonin plays a crucial role in brain chemistry. This neurotransmitter regulates mood and behavior and is important for mental health.

A study showed that CBD helped people diagnosed with DSM-5 talk to a group of people.

In 2017, researchers investigated the results of investigations into the treatment of mental disorders by CBD. This included the treatment of conditions such as anxiety disorders, depression, bipolar disorder and schizophrenia.

They found inconsistencies and concluded that the effectiveness of CBD in mental disorders is still poorly documented. Further research is needed to determine the safety and the correct dose.

Benefit # 3: Pain Relief

CBD oil is also used to relieve chronic pain. CBD relieves pain due to the effect on brain pain receptors.

That is why in some countries a drug called Sativex is prescribed for people with multiple sclerosis. The active ingredients of Sativex are THC and CBD. Sativex is intended to relieve pain in people with multiple sclerosis.

Researchers have different views on how CBD helps people with multiple sclerosis. Some believe that the effect of CBD is based on the effects on brain receptors, while others question the anti-inflammatory properties. In all cases, many patients with multiple sclerosis benefit from this medicine.

Studies have shown that CBD effectively relieves the following pain:

Pain with multiple sclerosis.

Chronic pain

The pain of arthritis

Muscle strain

Injuries to the spine

Benefit #4: Anticancer effect

To say that something can cure cancer is always very dangerous. For starters, there are many types of cancer and many stages of development.

In addition, each organism reacts differently to treatments such as chemotherapy or radiotherapy.

Some stories on the internet make us believe that CBD and THC cure cancer. Unfortunately, this is not the case.

In any case, this has never been scientifically proven. However, people with cancer can benefit from CBD oil.

In particular, CBD oil can help with nausea and vomiting due to chemotherapy.

The anti-cancer effect of cannabis is not new. Research into THC and CBD has been underway since the 1970s: it appears cannabis can kill cancer cells, slow down tumor growth, and prevent metastases.

However, this does not mean that cannabis can cure cancer.

Do you know that many studies in vitro are performed only in (cancer) cells, in test tubes or Petri dishes and not in the entire human body?

In vitro, many substances seem to delay the growth of cancer cells, which unfortunately does not really reflect the effect on cancer cells in the body.

For example, cancer cells die when put in chlorine. Of course, it will not help you because drinking chlorine will kill you.

CBD has an anti-inflammatory effect. Therefore, CBD may theoretically be useful for cancer treatment.

But as we have seen, CBD has never shown any effect on cancer. So far, cannabis is only suitable for the treatment of cancer symptoms.

It helps relieve pain, relieve anxiety, sleep better and combat nausea.

So far, the effect of CBD and / or THC on cancer has been demonstrated only in a limited number of studies in mice and cancer samples.

In addition, all anti-inflammatory substances are potentially useful for people with cancer or at least for cancer prevention.

Dietary supplements with strong anti-inflammatory effects also include turmeric.

Oncologists are aware of the effects and benefits of THC and CBD in cancer patients.

In countries where therapeutic cannabis is allowed, an oncologist may prescribe it to their patients if they find it useful.

Another solution is to test CBD oil to see if it can relieve symptoms.

Benefit # 5: Treatment of Neurodegenerative Diseases

A receptor present in the brain (CB1) is involved in neurodegenerative diseases. These are diseases that cause progressive deterioration of the brain and nerves.

CBD oil acts on this receptor and also has an important anti-inflammatory effect in the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases.

Researchers are studying the value of CBD oil for the treatment of the following diseases:

Multiple sclerosis

Parkinson’s disease

AVC

Alzheimer’s disease

Currently Parkinson’s disease is developing incurably slowly and gradually.

People with this disease gradually lose some neurons, so they can no longer produce dopamine.

This disease manifests in tremors, speech problems and stiffness in the arms and legs.

The obvious features (vibration and confusing language) make it easy to see if CBD oil has a positive effect. There are several videos of people with Parkinson’s disease on the Internet who shiver much less after taking CBD oil and are quieter in their movements and words.

For the treatment of Parkinson’s disease, it is better to use a combination of CBD oil and THC oil. It helps to relax the muscles.

The importance of CBD / THC oil for people with Parkinson’s disease arises from the users’ opinion; scientific research remains limited.

Benefit # 6: Acne Treatment

Hormones and inflammation play a role in acne. Excessive production of sebum causes the accumulation of dead cells in the hair follicle, which can cause inflammation.

In terms of hormonal changes that occur during puberty, there is an overproduction of sebum that can cause acne. Bacteria can grow in hair follicles and signs of inflammation are visible as red nodules.

CBD oil slows the activity of the sebaceous glands so that sebum production decreases. CBD oil has anti-inflammatory properties and promotes the treatment of acne.

Benefit # 7: Migraine Relief

A migraine attack lasts between 4 and 72 hours. Migraine is much more intense than a “normal” headache, due for example to stress or allergies.

During a migraine attack, you often have no choice but to lie down, take painkillers and wait for it to happen quickly.

However, painkillers have the disadvantage of side effects and often offer mild relief. In a study of 48 people, 40% of participants had less migraine when taking CBD oil.

Another study of 26 participants found that people who used CBD oil had a better quality of life than those who used painkillers.

These are just a few small studies; however, it is worth trying CBD oil if you often suffer from migraine.

In case of acute migraine attacks, you can also inhale CBD oil with an vape. This is the fastest way for the body to absorb the CBD through the lungs, and then strait to your bloodstream for full activation.

Benefit # 8: Treatment of Fibromyalgia

Fibromyalgia is a condition that causes severe chronic pain in muscles and connective tissue, as well as stiffness throughout the body.

As CBD oil has an analgesic effect, it is not surprising that its consumption is beneficial for some people with fibromyalgia. The Arthritis Foundation has recently endorsed the use of CBD oil to help patients and has released best use guidelines for safely incorporating CBD oil in your pain management game plan.

Benefit # 9: Improving Sleep

Many people suffer from sleep disorders. About 10% of the population suffers from chronic insomnia and 30% have already suffered from it.

Marijuana is known to help with sleep disorders. The use of marijuana with a lot of THC reduces the duration of REM sleep. This is helpful with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) because you have fewer dreams and fewer nightmares.

CBD is better than THC for insomnia.

It is believed that one enjoys a deeper sleep when one dreams less. Deep sleep is the most important phase of sleep: it is the most relaxing and quiet phase.

User reports show that CBD improves the sleep of many people, while others benefit more from THC. Again, it’s about testing yourself. Although THC can resolve short-term sleep disorders, it seems that THC can affect the quality of sleep over the long term.

Always discuss using CBD oil with your doctor before beginning any type of CBD oil health regimen as CBD oil may interact with existing medications you may be taking.
